Forgot
I just wanted to share this one chair I just recovered. I found the chair at a tag sale in Atlanta. When I started to tear it down I realized it was an antique.I do not unfortunately have before pictures but I am trying to be better at taking them, anyway I painted the wood white then covered her in three different fabrics. The welting is double corded. I am loving upholstery. She sold the first day she hit the floor, and the couple want one like it to match. There will be no way to get an exact chair but I have a similarish chair. Hope it turns out as great. Lolly
Chairs AHA
Good morning, just looking for inspiration for my new girls. This weekend I picked up several new chairs in Atlanta. They are gorgeous in style but need fabulous new looks. The barrel chair in the first picture here is amazing and may be close to one chair I'm thinking about. I love the bohemian mixture of fabrics and trim. I should be able to get before pictures done this evening. Still need to know how to reduce the size so they do not take so much time to move to blog.I've been selected to try a new product for DIYers when I am able I'll let you know what it is. Thanks Lolly

One last thought till?
I just got home from the shop. We had a wonderful week after all. The shop is wiped out. I feel good. When I got home I read an update from isuwanne. Yes running a business is similar for us all. Sometimes I wonder what I am doing. Sometimes I want to run and scream. Sometimes I want to chuck it all. I wonder what is wrong with people. Why don't we all see beauty similarly. (I am not sure if that is correct grammar) Anyway then there is today. I stop and remember the Hayes, the Olivia's, the Lindas. and then I remember why I do this. Yes I too have a spot I sit and kick up my feet and recoup. I too have pieces that sit on the floor only momentarily. Tomorrow I can handle the Marges. Not today. Lolly
Almost forgot
Forgot to post these yesterday. See the yellow. And it has to lean toward mustard, no butter will do. But love the first two pictures. hope you do to.
When is stealing OK
I've been stealing this morning, ideas that is. I got these gorgeous pictures from house of turquoise and maison21. I think in most of my thievery there is a common theme. Turquoise, yellow or pink. I love these colors. Recently I bought a beautiful mustard fabric that even the lady at ohco the fabric warehouse in Covington sneered at. When I threw it over my turquoise sofa just to see it with other fabric I was in love. It was fantastic with my sofa. guess what two very large pillows in that fabric were made for the sofa.
After this week I hope to get new pictures of the shop. I'll be in Atlanta Monday so till Tuesday. Lolly

Exciting things
Love the grey and white with bright colors.
These chair shapes are amazing. Would love to find these in and old junk store in Atlanta.
All these blues together who knew? I'd like my cousin Sharon in Mississippi to paint her concept of this ostrich. I need him...

Aqua love
These are gorgeous photos, so inspiring. Just checking in alot happened this week. The shop was very busy. And alot went out this week I have a family that has recently started to frequent the shop. The Hayes. They seem to really appreciate my style, and effort to give Blairsville something different. They are my new favorite customers. In honor of Robin Hayes I wanted to showcase these beautiful colors and patterns. She is attracted to them and the things she likes can move with her thru her college years and on. The sofa in the middle is reminiscent of mine that has been shown in several past postings, I love these two chairs that are very chintzy.I hope to do some like this soon.
Later this week I will be adding photos of the shop. But for now enjoy these. Lolly

Recent projects
Wanted to let all know I have been busy. That pillow we talked about that was going to NY. This is it. I think I'll send two though. This pillow is down filled. I really am a fan of down. It last forever and never goes flat.
I really love fabric and have a closet full of all sizes and styles. I can never go to Atlanta without stopping at some of my favorite spots like Lewis and Sheron, Ohco, Forsyth Fabric, Design Finds. I'll show some in this post that I recently aquired.
I think I showed this chair in another post but wanted to update. This is the before just home from Atlanta, nothing has been done yet.
Now the finish is done.
This is during upholstery
Now it is finished and in the shop. It turned out great. I hope soon to get a better camera. Mine does not have a wide enough angle.
These are some recent fabric pick-ups. But I have more to show soon. The orange shades are very popular now.
These are two recent paintings. My style is very whimsical and that does not always go over well. For the first time I have really been selling my paintings. I have sold several tutu's. You can see them in past posts.
Well I have been very inspired by Catherine of freddyandpetunia she is amazing in her talents and I am definitely impressed and in awe. I hope soon to show some projects that she inspired. Till next time I will continue to share pictures from other blogs Lolly

Inspiring Photos
Love this pine green velvet sofa.
Love how beautifully green and blue live together. Most feel they don't work as a team. But all color combinations of blue and green marry well. I am seeing more of this fabulous combo lately.
Pink in my opinion always works. Love it.
I do love this dining room, even though there is no color. It feels soothing. But I would use color. The hypertufa is a great idea on a dining room table.
If ever I find a sofa like this one, it will come home with me. This is love at first sight.
I will be posting new pictures this weekend of my projects. I finished a chair. Mustard my be involved. Also wanted to tell all about a wonderful fabric outlet near Atlanta called Ohco. It is in Covington about 25 miles outside Atlanta on Highway 20 going East. Got some great fabrics there I will be showing them soon. L
