Next bird chair

Just wanted to take everyone through a chair. This was a chair that was picked from my stash by a lady that wanted two bird chairs she wanted the one in the shop and one to match as closely as possible in style and of course the crazy owl fabric. This was her pick.  The first picture is what it looked like before. Of course she had to be sanded and painted white like chair number one. So we have the beginning, mid process then the finale in the shop. Her name is Lily. Once completed the lady decided 199.00 per chair was to much. She and her husband felt 150.00 was more appropriate. I of course could not sell them for 150.00. 199.00 was a steal for antique one of a kind chairs. Custom upholstery is very difficult and expensive. If I paid Fannin upholstery to do these chairs (the are the greatest) they would have been 250.00 per chair no fabric included and no custom painting. These two items would have sent this chair way over the 400.00 mark. Happily the very next day chair number one with blue velvet seat sold (her name was Patrice) to a regular customer Shandy. She gladly paid the 199.00 and felt it was well worth it.She makes my effort worth while. Sorry I did not have more process pictures. Several things in the works for now. Lolly

  1. This chair is incredible. I'm so proud of you for sticking to your guns on your price. I can only imagine how difficult this is, but your work is worth it!!!
